Behind Splashifax’s wildly wet and wacky sense of play is a serious commitment to helping our community. ‘Cuz who says you can’t spread joy in more ways than one?!
Our employees participate in environmental care by using downtime on their shifts to pick up litter and ensure the areas in and around our parks are clean and beautiful. We also conduct regular shore cleanups on the bodies of water on which we work.
Of course, money is also helpful, so Splashifax donates 1% of our profits to a collection of organizations that especially matches our values. Our “Round-up Program” makes it easy for guests to join us in the giving spirit by simply rounding up their ticket purchase, and then we match guests’ contributions (in addition to the 1% of profits)!
This year we will be sharing our profits with the following organizations:
Water First – The water crisis in Indigenous communities is unacceptable. Water First works with Indigenous communities to resolve local water challenges through education, training, and meaningful collaboration.
Level – Working to drive change by disrupting prejudice, building empathy and advancing human rights, Level’s guiding belief is that if communities are empowered to understand, use, and shape the law, then they can become active participants in breaking down barriers to justice.
Coastal Action – Coastal Action is helping to conserve the species and ecosystems that make southwest Nova Scotia such a special place, as well as supporting our environmental education and outreach efforts.
Splashifax works with local community groups and non-profit organizations to offer free, or low-cost opportunities for young people to laugh hard, as well as fun employment opportunities for youth. If you are looking for such opportunities, please reach out HERE.
If you need tickets for a fundraising event we’d love to hear from you to see if we can help! Please fill out the form located HERE and we will get back to you on May 1, July 1, or January 1.
