RECOGNITION OF TRADITIONAL TERRITORY
HONOURING THE LAND
HONOURING THE LAND
Splashifax acknowledges that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) People first signed with the British Crown in 1725. We want to acknowledge and honour how they have nurtured, and continue to nurture, the land through their culture and presence. We endeavour to be good stewards of the lands and waters on which we work and to be in good relationship with the peoples who came before us, who are with us, and will come after us.
